Micaela Gerhardt

NDSU Foundation Team Member since 2020

As a writer at the Foundation, Micaela is responsible for sharing stories that demonstrate philanthropy in action. She creates engaging content including magazine articles, gift proposals, and news releases, and contributes to the Foundation's multimedia communications.

Micaela earned a bachelor's degree in English writing and Spanish studies from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, and a master's degree in creative writing from Eastern Washington University in Spokane, Washington. She loves reading, especially nonfiction and poetry, hiking, cooking, doing yoga, and spending time with her family.

"My education has enhanced my life and shaped my way of thinking, living, and connecting with others. Neither of my degrees would have been possible without generous donors and those working to secure funding for students and faculty, so I'm proud to support the valuable work of the NDSU Foundation. Through storytelling, I aim to advocate for students and faculty, form relationships with others who are passionate about higher education, and expand educational opportunities in a community I love."
