A Mentor Can Make All the Difference

Noah Carlson (Class of 2020, Agribusiness and Applied Economics) met Bill Wilson during his senior year when he took one of Bill’s classes as an elective. Bill is the CHS Endowed Chair in Risk Management and Trading in the College of Agriculture, Food Systems, and Natural Resources. When Bill saw that Noah had an interest in commodity merchandising — and the skills to succeed in the field — he took him under his wing. “The people who have devoted a lot to this school make these kind of faculty members possible. It really impacts the overall student experience.”
