A New Era of Professional Development
Join fellow emerging alumni at these FREE events in Fargo to hear from inspiring and educational speakers, build authentic relationships and foster a dynamic community, and take advantage of professional growth and development opportunities.
The Emerging Alumni Program is a brand-new initiative hosted by the NDSU Foundation inspired by the notion that all emerging alumni (from ANY institution!) can benefit from connection and professional development opportunities. Over the course of three events for the year, speakers will address the theme BETTER TOGETHER.

Who are emerging alumni?
Emerging alumni are a broad group of professionals! We consider emerging alumni those who are:
- Newly graduated and on the hunt for opportunities
- Ready to network with local employers and peers
- New to their industry
- Ready for a change in their career journey
- Open to professional development opportunities
- Looking for potential employees
The Emerging Alumni Program is a gateway to an involved, dynamic community.
I didn’t attend/graduate from NDSU. Can I still attend the Emerging Alumni Program?
Yes! The Emerging Alumni Program has been specially curated and programmed to welcome any and all emerging professionals. We are Better Together!
How much does this event cost?
All Emerging Alumni Program events are FREE to attend. (That’s an easy sell for your supervisor!)
Will there be food?
Light snacks and beverages will be available. Your emotional support water bottle is welcome to join us.

While these events are free to attend, registration helps us plan ahead and create successful, enjoyable experiences for all. Register here.
Will all three events in 2024 be the same?
Each Emerging Alumni Program event will feature different speakers and content (and peers to connect with!). We can’t wait to see you at all three events in 2024.

The inaugural Emerging Alumni Program event is March 26, 2024. The second event will be a networking-focused social on July 25, 2024 (right after the TEDxFargo conference!). The final EAP event in 2024 will be Oct. 29, 2024.
