North Dakota State University Celebrates Record-Breaking Giving Day with $2,182,550 Raised and 1,927 Gifts

Fargo, N.D. — NDSU proudly announces the success of its annual Giving Day, where the generosity of so many resulted in a remarkable achievement of $2,182,550 raised through 1,927 gifts. This response underscores the deep commitment of the NDSU community to advancing education, innovation, and excellence.

The funds raised during Giving Day will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of NDSU by supporting scholarships, research initiatives, and transformative programs that empower NDSU students and enrich their educational experience.

NDSU Foundation President and CEO John Glover expressed heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support: “Wow! Once again, the entire NDSU community stepped up to provide financial support for our students, faculty, programs, and facilities! This was our eighth NDSU Giving Day and by far our best. Special thanks to our benefactors, social media ambassadors, campus partners, Bison Ambassadors, and Foundation staff for coming together to raise awareness and make a difference for our beloved University.”

The success of this fundraising campaign reflects the strong bond that connects NDSU to its broader community.

Carissa Mohrman, a human development and family science student, shared her enthusiasm for the impact of Giving Day on her academic journey: “Giving Day matters because there may be a bright, young person who is considering not going to school because they are concerned about finances. Your contributions could provide them a scholarship that could change the trajectory of their life. It also allows individuals to give back to a specific area of interest so that the NDSU experience can get better and better each year.”

The incredible response to Giving Day 2023 not only sets a new benchmark for philanthropy at NDSU but also reinforces the institution’s commitment to the continued success of its students.
