What can I expect from this venue?

We are thrilled to host Bison Bidders Bowl at Butler Machinery Arena at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds! This event space provides plenty of room for beautiful, immersive decor, dining tables, several bars, an impressive stage, and dedicated silent auction spaces. The event space has concrete floors.

How about parking?

Butler Machinery Arena has ample parking. If you choose to park your own vehicle, parking lots are paved.

When should I arrive?

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. We recommend that you arrive as close to that time as possible — we want you to have plenty of time to enjoy all the night has to offer!

Do I need cash?

No! All of the evening’s activities can be enjoyed using your bid number and our online bidding platform, Greater Giving.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes, an open bar will be available. Your ticket provides all-inclusive access to a fun night in support of NDSU!

What should I wear?

Formal or semi-formal attire is recommended. Stay tuned for an event lookbook for more inspiration.

Do I need to attend the event to bid?

No, you can bid on silent auction items from anywhere! There are plenty of silent and premier silent auction items to bid on, chosen specifically for Bison Nation by the Bison Bidders Bowl Committee.

Items will be available for pickup at the Harry D. McGovern Alumni Center beginning Monday, Sept. 29, or can be shipped to you at your expense.

How do I bid on the silent auction?

After registering on Greater Giving, you will receive a text message with your personalized bidding link. Silent auction results will be announced via text once the auction has closed.

To bid on an item, select the package you wish to bid on. Select either the Bid option to bid the next increment or select Bid More to choose your increment. Click the star icon to save the package to your Favorites. Use the menu in the top left to view packages you have bid on or favorited, or to browse by category. When the auction closes, the high bidder can find packages they have won in the Bids area of the menu.

Payment will be processed following the event with the card on file. A receipt will be provided for the purchaser via email.

Can I refund an item?

All sales are final, and there will be no refunds or exchanges of items or event tickets.

What else do I need to know about item values, guarantees, and usage?

All trips, items, and services must be used within designated dates. All arrangements are to be made between donor and buyer within one month of the auction unless otherwise specified.

All guarantees are according to the manufacturers’ warranties.

Values listed in Greater Giving are donor-stated values or appraisals, and as such are not warranted for tax purposes or general value. Buyers may take a charitable deduction when the price paid exceeds the fair market value for total gifts purchased. For total donation purposes, the value of “priceless” items is considered to be the price paid.
