NDSU Scholarship Support
Every fall, the temperature slowly cools, and students return to North Dakota State University. As the seasons change, NDSU alumni and friends also return to campus to cheer on the Bison and reflect on days gone by. This fall, while you reflect on your time at NDSU, we're asking you to pay it forward by making a gift to support NDSU students today. We believe our future leaders shouldn't be obstructed by the burdens of today, and incoming students say a scholarship difference of as little as $2,500 can mean choosing NDSU instead of another college or university. Learn more about scholarship support and make your gift on the NDSU Scholarship Support webpage. |
NDSU Foundation Magazine
Check your mailbox! The inaugural issue of the NDSU Foundation Magazine is now available. The NDSU Foundation is excited to launch this new publication featuring stories about the great work happening at North Dakota State University. In the pages of this publication and future issues you’ll see how philanthropy enhances the NDSU experience from student scholarships and program opportunities to faculty research support and state-of-the-art facilities. |
Philanthropy in action
North Dakota State University's Nice Center, founded in Jan. 2019 and funded by philanthropy through the In Our Hands campaign, supports students' ideas and helps them advance those ideas in the marketplace. For Dieumerci Christel '21, the Nice Center opened up a world of possibilities as he completed his degree and advanced his business. "Without NDSU, specifically the Nice Center, I wouldn’t be doing this because I got a lot of opportunities I couldn’t afford to do by myself," Dieumerci, a business management major and entrepreneurship minor, said. Read more about Dieumerci's NDSU story in the fall issue of the NDSU Foundation Magazine. |

Best-selling author Emily Oster is scheduled to give a virtual talk to NDSU on Thursday, Sept. 23, at 3 p.m. Oster will engage in a wide-ranging conversation with Scott Beaulier, Ronald and Kaye Olson Dean of Business at NDSU. Following the presentation, Oster will answer questions from the audience. "We are thrilled to be launching our 2021-2022 Menard Speaker Series with Emily Oster, professor of economics at Brown University. With COVID-19 cases climbing across the country, Emily's timing in visiting us couldn't be better," Scott said. "In our conversation, we'll talk about how to make smart decisions related to COVID-19 risk, how she became the national hub for school-related COVID data, and why we should all calm down a bit on many different dimensions related to parenting. This is a conversation I'm really looking forward to." The event is free and open to the public. A live audience and reception is set to be held in the Louise S. Barry Auditorium at NDSU's Richard H. Barry Hall, where hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be served. Virtual attendance is available. Visit the NDSU News webpage for the Zoom information. |
